Glossary
Software change governance, defined.
A consistent vocabulary for the ZeroUI product direction and conceptual model. These are ZeroUI working definitions unless a page explicitly cites an external standard.
Working definitions
Terms used across ZeroUI.
Organizational intent
A business, compliance, security, architecture, engineering, or release requirement that an accountable owner expects software change to respect.
Executable control
Governed decision logic that applies approved organizational intent to a software change with an outcome, explanation, evidence requirement, or next action.
Software change governance
The governed process of translating organizational intent into decisions, guidance, and evidence across the software lifecycle.
ZeroUI Policy Studio (ZPS)
The authoritative ZeroUI system being designed for approved organizational intent to become governed, executable policy.
Canonical ZPS
The authoritative policy destination in the ZeroUI model; proposed learning does not become policy until it passes governed review and approval.
Intent candidate
A proposed organizational requirement derived from sufficiently reliable and generalizable evidence, pending impact analysis and accountable review.
Causal validation
The work of testing whether an observed production signal and a suspected software change are causally related rather than merely correlated.
Policy impact analysis
Review of evidence integrity, overlap, conflicts, historical impact, blast radius, and expected enforcement consequences before a proposal becomes policy.
Governed publication
The controlled release of approved policy to relevant lifecycle enforcement points with ownership, history, and evidence preserved.
Production Learning Loop
The ZeroUI conceptual pipeline for turning validated operational lessons into proposed intent, human-approved policy, and safer future change.
Decision evidence
The connected record of actor, scope, policy context, supporting information, rationale, outcome, remediation, approval, and re-check for a governed change.
